JH Jones & sons has always been a family business and was established by J H Jones early in the twentieth century. The business has been passed down through the generations and is currently run by Huw Thomas, J H Jones’s great-grandson and now is known as J H Jones & Sons (Barmouth Calor Centre) Ltd
The business originally sold coal, provisions and live pigs which were delivered locally by horse and cart! Nowadays, J H Jones and Sons sells coal and smokeless fuels in open sacks and pre-packed bags, bottled gas; autogas; and kiln dried logs in either nets or crates.
